Just a small point to back up your "Depression" videos. Besides fascism, authoritarianism, depression we also have tariffs. The Great Depression had the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoot%E2%80%93Hawley_Tariff_Act), a protectionist trade measure signed into law in the United States by President Herbert Hoover on June 17, 1930. It was supposed to shorten the depression. Instead, we now know that it actually lengthened it. So it is today with Trump and his tariffs. (Note: The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act became a popular comedy point thanks to the 1986 movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Ben Stein explains to his class the tariff act. Some things are easier to call in their historical context. For now, we only have the lead-up. But unless us humans respond really well to the events we're coming up on it will be a depression like no other in history.

Thank you.

I've followed you for approximately ten years now I think, from the relatively safe "haven" of Norway. Although Norway are experiencing a brutal wake-up call, allongside Denmark and the rest of Europe concerning The US and their geopolitics.

I have no economic education. I'm a journalist. But you have taught me how to view economics in a way that gives it so much more sense.

I have recently decided to make my very first investments based on your portfolio. I have been invested in funds that were labeled "ethic and environmental" only to find out that it's basically just a fancy name. They are based on the same "high standards" as every fund in my nordic bank. How do you rate your portfolio in that sense- ethics and environment?

Excuse my clumsy english. I hope you get my point. Keep posting those videos!

Love to snowy also! Such a lovely boy. I have two fiery Jack Russell Terrier-ladies by my side. They give me the routine of checking in with nature every day.

Anyway, I understand your despair these days and I wanted to let you know you have impacted my life profoundly, in a good way-even though your message is a hard one to swallow sometimes.

Warm embrace from the northern lights!
