Hi everyone. Apologies for not writing more, I’ve meant to, but I’ve been ill.

We’ve been moving. And when I move, then I have to adjust to the light.

I joke around about my condition, where too much light can kill me (yes, really.) It’s called Porphyria, and it’s the historical basis for the vampire myth. Which is funny if you know me, because I’ve been a teenage goth all my life, way before we ever knew I had it.

Sometimes, adjusting to the light in a new place is easy, and sometimes it’s hard. Here I am in a new place, and it’s made me quite ill. It can last a few weeks. My body has to begin adjusting to a new level of light, and that takes time (and effort from me.)

If you want to know what happens, it goes like this. Have you ever seen the little orange stuff under some doggie’s eyes? If you look closely at the pic of me and Snowy above, look just under his eyes. You can justttt see it in the corner of his little eye there. That stuff is called Porphyrins. It’s iron dust. And funnily enough, that’s biochemically what my blood turns into with too much light.

So me and Snowy, it turns out, have this funny cosmic connection. As you can imagine, having your blood turn to dust isn’t...pleasant. (Another funny symptom of Porphyria is that your gums recede and your mouth bleeds with too much light…hence, the vampire myth.)

And by the way, when I was told that I had this condition—it was my lovely wife who diagnosed it on our first date, no less—I didn’t believe it either. The light…can kill you? LOL, come on.

For those of you I’ve had to postpone sessions with, we’ll try and do them this week.

As for what to do with money in the middle of all this, my recommendation is just…breathe…take it easy. Don’t do much. Stay in cash if you can. Just relax with it. Don’t worry about markets bouncing around here and there. Markets have been wrong about this for quite some time now, which is why they desperately bounce up, and then plummet back down. They LOL (want to) believe in Trump, which is very foolish indeed.

The world is now going to enter some very, very difficult times, an energy crisis atop inflation, stagnation, and severe geopolitical turmoil. I’ll talk about that more in coming days.
